Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the operating room, demonstrating the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in the operating room, assisting with surgical procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols

Monitor patient vital signs and provide appropriate interventions during surgeries

Assist in the preparation and management of surgical instruments and supplies

Educate patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of recent operating room experience

Required case experience includes: General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, Robotics (Da Vinci), and Vascular Surgery

Preferred case experience includes: ENT, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, and Ophthalmology

Active RN license in Hawaii

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Work Schedule:

This position requires rotating shifts with guaranteed hours. The schedule may include 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts based on department needs.
