Job Title: Quality Inspector (CMM Programming Aerospace & Defense) Job Description
This role focuses on performing precision quality inspection and CMM programming for aerospace and defense components, ensuring products meet strict engineering specifications and industry standards.
Perform detailed quality inspections using CMM equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and geometric features.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine inspection requirements and measurement strategies.
Document inspection results accurately and clearly, maintaining records in accordance with quality procedures.
Identify nonconforming parts and communicate findings to appropriate personnel for review and corrective action.
Follow established quality control processes and contribute to continuous improvement of inspection methods.
Ensure inspection equipment is used correctly and report any issues with CMM or measurement tools to supervision.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns and support on-time delivery of products.
Hands-on experience with CMM operation and programming in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in quality inspection of mechanical components, preferably in aerospace and defense applications.
Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Attention to detail and accuracy in performing measurements and documenting inspection results.
Ability to follow established quality procedures and inspection standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and communicate quality issues.
Experience inspecting aerospace components or working within aerospace and defense quality standards.
Comfort working with both automated CMM systems and manual inspection tools.
Organizational skills to manage multiple inspection tasks and maintain accurate records.

The position is based in a manufacturing facility focused on aerospace and defense components. You will work in a production and inspection area that utilizes Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers, and standard quality control equipment. The environment is hands-on and detail-oriented, with processes and procedures designed to support consistent, high-quality output. Work hours, shifts, and specific attire expectations follow typical manufacturing facility standards and are aligned with safety and operational requirements.
This is a Contract position based out of Valencia, CA.
