Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Available shifts include: 6 AM - 6 PM, every other weekend, holidays, with call requirements based on unit needs or 9 AM - 9 PM, every other weekend, holidays, with call requirements based on unit needs.
Job Description
We are seeking a professional caregiver who plans, provides, and directs patient care and education, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. The Registered Nurse will act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families, collaborating with other healthcare members to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of patients according to established standards.
Establish a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data in conjunction with involved disciplines.
Implement and evaluate the plan of care based on identified patient goals and modify when necessary.
Complete all documentation according to established standards and utilize documentation tools appropriately.
Assess the readiness of patients and significant others to learn and implement individualized education plans.
Participate in nursing department initiatives, including in-service opportunities or committee participation.
Provide age-appropriate care for specific populations served as detailed by the organization.
Adhere to established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
Previous experience in the specific nursing area preferred.
