Dietary Aide Position
Crescent Care of Elgin is seeking a Dietary Aide to join their team! The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving residents' meals and cleaning routines for the dietary department.

Dietary Aide Duties and Responsibilities

Serves food in accordance with established portion control procedures
Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures
Keeps work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., Assists cook in preparing meals and obtaining food supplies for the following meal
Dietary Aide Skills and Abilities

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to read/understand resident tray card
Ability to learn to load and operate an industrial diswasher within one week.
Ability to follow sanitation process and maintain cleanliness standards
Dietary Aide Education and Experience

Experience operating an industrial dishwasher and the sanitation process of the kitchen, preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Experience in industrial food production preferred.
Prior experience working in a long-term care facility a plus.
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
