Wound Care And Ostomy Nurse
Profession: RN Specialty: Surgery Nursing Administration Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in wound care and ostomy nursing. License: RN License Certifications: Wound, Ostomy, Continence Certification (WOCN) required. Must-Have: - Certification from the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (CWONC). - Experience with all types of surgical and traumatic wounds. - Ability to assess, treat, and manage complex wounds and ostomies. - Experience with various dressing changes and wound vacs.
Description: The role involves providing specialized nursing care in wound care and ostomy management. The clinician must accurately assess, measure, and classify wounds and related skin conditions. The position requires performing patient teaching in an inpatient and acute care setting. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts. There are no weekends, on-call duties, or holiday shifts required. The ideal candidate will have experience with EPIC and a minimum of 1-2 travel assignments.
