Requirements

License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Basic life support, Driver’s license, Licensed dental hygienist, X-ray / Radiography Certification, Local Anesthesia Certification, Infection Control License

Software Experience: Dentrix, Dexis

Clinical Experience: General Dentistry

Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental hygienist with 2+ years of practice

Marianne Morelli, D.M.D. is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our office! The position is part time; working one, two or three days a week (Monday through Friday).

What you will do
Providing quality patient service by delivering thorough patient care, effective communication and personal attention in a gentle and caring manner.

Assessing and plan appropriate dental hygiene care including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, debridement, periodontal maintenance and adjunct services.

Educating patients of all ages on tailored oral hygiene strategies and periodontal disease progression.

Maintain complete, accurate clinical notes and adhere to strict sterilization and infection control protocols.

What we are looking for

Associates or Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene

Active Connecticut Registered Dental Hygiene License

BLS Certification

Biography
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Fairfield University, Dr. Morelli earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1994. Dr. Morelli advanced her education by taking continuing education classes that will benefit her patients. She completed a one-year residency in general practice and oral surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC from 1994-1995. She then completed a four-year program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a dual specialty in periodontics and periodontal prosthesis. Dr. Morelli has been practicing in the area for twenty-five years and is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Greater Danbury Dental Society, and the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Dr. Morelli is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry, and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology.
