Emergency Department RN – Travel

Schedule - Patient ratio: 1:4 - Weekends: Required (at least every other weekend) - Holiday requirement: Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, NYD)

Assignment Details - Daily census: ~160 - Visits/day: ~183 - Beds/Rooms: 73

Requirements - Years of RN experience: 2 - Client notes: at least 1 year required - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS - Additional certifications: NIHSS, TNCC - Charting system: Epic (required)

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting for patients spanning neonates to geriatrics. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, including transportation and interpretation services. - Perform clinical procedures such as airway management, central line care, and blood product administration. - Conduct triage assessments and manage care for patients with diverse conditions, including trauma, psychiatric crises, and multisystem organ dysfunction.

Compliance / Notes - Compact license must be in hand at submission. - Background checks: facility does not accept Nursys or background hits. - Local radius: 50 miles. - Can only be submitted to one facility at a time. - Return-staff eligibility: may return after 3 months. - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required. - Must complete pre-start modules and orientation requirements.
