About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Outpatient Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative, patient-focused orthopedic rehabilitation team in South Jersey.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a thriving outpatient orthopedic environment focused on evidence-based care, functional rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, and individualized treatment programs . Key Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for a wide range of orthopedic conditions.

Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions tailored to each patient's functional needs and goals.

Utilize appropriate manual therapy and therapeutic techniques to optimize patient outcomes.

Provide functional interventions designed to improve mobility, independence, strength, and quality of life.

Provide specialized hand therapy and fabricate custom splints for postoperative, traumatic, and other injury-related conditions.

Educate patients and caregivers regarding home exercise programs, postoperative care, injury prevention, and strategies for continued progress outside the clinic.

Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in accordance with clinic, regulatory, and insurance requirements.

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

Collaborate with other therapists and clinical staff to coordinate patient care and promote positive outcomes.

Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, and shared clinical education.

Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Work with patients across a variety of age groups and adapt treatment approaches to meet individual needs.

Maintain a high standard of patient care while working efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy.

Required Qualifications

Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in the State of New Jersey .

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly in outpatient orthopedics or a related setting.

Demonstrated experience and competency in hand therapy and custom splint fabrication .

Strong clinical knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation and occupational therapy practices.

Excellent clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Ability to establish positive relationships with patients and caregivers from diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Dependable, professional, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but is not required.

Physical Requirements

The Occupational Therapist must be able to perform the physical activities necessary to provide safe and effective patient care, including:

Lift and carry medical equipment, supplies, and other items weighing up to 50 pounds .

Bend, squat, reach, and maneuver as necessary to assist patients and access equipment and supplies.

Stand and walk for extended periods.

Perform repetitive physical tasks associated with patient treatment and clinical activities.

Safely assist and position patients as required within the scope of the role.
