Senior Sales Trader

The Senior Trader provides leadership within the organization by applying a thorough understanding of the product, the competitive landscape, consumer demands, and industry trends and operational best practices. Responsible for securing new business prospects through sourcing from, traveling to, and maintaining relationships with industrial accounts to purchase electronics scrap. This role is located in Granite City with occasional travel to other locations required (25% travel). Base Salary Range: $118,640 - $177,960/yearMay be eligible for a variable compensation plan bonus based upon company performance within fiscal year cycle. As a result, our ranges reflect our good faith estimate to pay fairly. ResponsibilitiesSenior Trader Responsibilities:Develop assigned purchasing and sales program through market research, procurement, sales and new business development.Develop and track key performance indicators / metrics designed to achieve department goals and support broader Wieland initiatives.Assist with building a strong team/ develop / train / mentor team member.Manage relationships with larger industrial accounts for electronics scrap sourcingWork with commercial, accounting, and shipping/receiving team to ensure BOMs are accurate. Senior Trader Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree10-15 years of experience in recycling procurement, operations, or sales.Knowledgeable in electronics scrap processing, grading, and pricing.Strong financial analysis, process, and project management skillsConsistent purchasing and sales results.Understand financial measures that impact business. Proven ability to multi-task projects and meet deadlines. Must have experience with Microsoft Office.Ability to work effectively in a team environment, including the ability to ensure communication flow within the supply chain and internal shipping/receiving team members.
