Your primary focus will be providing hands-on mobility assistance and essential education to patients and their support systems to ensure a safe transition from surgery center to home.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside nursing staff to help patients recover after total joint replacement surgeryPatient & Caregiver Education:Instruct patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and physician protocolsProvide guidance along with nursing staff on effective pain management techniques and recovery expectations.Train patients on the proper use and maintenance of DME including immobilizers, SCD (Sequential Compression Device) pumps, walkers, and gait beltsMobility & Gait Training:Provide gait training education to improve the patient's walking pattern and stability.getting out of bed, toileting)Provide direct physical assistance during the discharge process, including safely assisting patients into their vehicles.
