Job Description
POSITION TITLE: High School Receptionist
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 229 days with benefits as specified in the Classified Agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma.
Good grammar & English speaking skills.
Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to lift 30 lbs. to shoulder height occasionally.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Answer telephone system and intercom phone.
Place calls in voic mail & locate staff as appropriate.
Assist parents, students or any other visitors who come to the front office.
Communication center for any major emergencies or disasters.
Communicating messages to security and custodial staff via radio.
Make announcements on intercom as necessary.
Daily recording of all activities.
Manually operate the bells on days when the regular bell schedule is not being followed.
Monitor the alarm system panel for emergencies and follow various procedures to contact the proper administrators.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work with the phone service system on any repairs or problems with the phones.
Record all greetings & instructions for phone system and set up voice mail for all new faculty & staff.
Train all faculty & staff on use of the phone & intercom system.
Adhere to protecting confidential information.
Assist with all office mailings.
Assist with new student data entry as requested.
Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
Adheres to good safety practices.
Adheres to all district rules, regulations and policies.
Attend meetings and work overtime as required.
All other duties assigned.

Salary: $22,500 to $22,500 Per Year
