RN L&D/OB OR - Weekends

Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Responsible for providing care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother/Baby settings. Must float between designated areas and assist other units as needed. Average of 1.5 births per day and 50-60 births per month. Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios. Required to titrate drips, including Pitocin. Charge nurse typically has an assignment. One surgical tech present on the unit. No in-house OB/Neonatologist or Anesthesia. Fetal monitoring is required; experience with EFM systems is necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other week. On-call requirements apply as per policy. Uniform should be professional colors. Floating between units is required per policy. Hospital may cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system is EPIC.
