Research Fellow - Genetics

Overview
We are looking to recruit a motivated individual with an advanced degree in Genetic Counseling or a PhD-trained scientist to join our team and help lead collaborative efforts in human immunology, with a focus on pediatric immunity and genetic immune disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in human immunology and human genetics and will be prepared to manage scientific and logistical elements of a complex research program involving multiple groups. We seek a highly collaborative and detail-oriented colleague who will support an ambitious and impactful vision.

Responsibilities
As part of a translational human immunology program, the Manager will be responsible for administration and strategic implementation of translational research objectives. Responsibilities include:

Administration and strategic implementation of translational research objectives.

Grant reporting and assistance with executing collaborative agreements.

IRB study maintenance and compliance.

RedCap utilization and patient recruitment/enrollment.

Research database management, clinical data curation, and specimen tracking and shipment.

Biobanking with specimen inventory management.

Website and social media presence maintenance.

Program milestones oversight, planning and implement changes, and determining potential sources of funding and partnerships.

Development of reports, procedure and protocol manuals.

Team-based progress meetings and training/onboarding of new members.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

Organize and manage complex and varied translational research program goals related to human immunology and genetics studies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to supervise staff and work both independently and as part of a team.

Oversee patient recruitment, enrollment, and curation/maintenance of databases of clinical information/samples and research data.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Advanced degree in Genetic Counseling or a PhD in a related scientific discipline.

Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline and three years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary
$68,000.00 - $120,500.00.
