Head of Operations Management (m/w/d)

Operations ManagerYou'll be the person who keeps our operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably, ensuring customers get the propane they depend on while protecting our team and community. Your work directly impacts service reliability, team performance, and regulatory compliance every single day. If this role is done well, customers don't have to think about us, they just trust us.You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our service center, including the yard, fleet, and field activity, while partnering closely with the General Manager to improve performance across safety, customer experience, and efficiency.You'll coordinate routing and dispatch, maintain equipment and facilities, lead safety compliance efforts, and support hiring and development of team members.What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days):You've assessed current routes and implemented at least one measurable improvement in delivery efficiency or on-time performanceAll safety certifications, trainings, and compliance requirements are current, tracked, and consistently enforcedThe yard, fleet, and service center are clean, organized, and fully operational with no major maintenance gapsTeam members understand expectations, receive regular feedback, and know how their work connects to broader goalsWhat You'll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days:Shadow drivers and operations staff to understand routing, delivery workflows, and customer expectationsAudit safety procedures, certifications, and equipment to identify any compliance risks or gapsReview current routing plans and dispatch processes to spot inefficiencies or quick winsBuild relationships with the team and begin participating in hiring, onboarding, and coaching conversationsMust Have:Experience overseeing operations in propane, energy, logistics, or a closely related fieldWorking knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards, ideally involving hazardous materialsDemonstrated experience leading a team and improving operational performanceAbility to manage routing, dispatch, or fleet operationsStrong communication skills to work across drivers, leadership, and customersNice to Have:Experience specifically in propane operationsBackground in route optimization tools or fleet management systemsExperience supporting sales or customer retention effortsExperience conducting safety training or certification programsTrack record of improving asset utilization or operational efficiencyWork Environment:This role splits time between the office, yard, and field. You'll regularly be outside inspecting equipment, supporting operations, and working alongside the team in real conditions (including weather and active service environments).We're a team that takes safety seriously and looks out for each other; At the same time, we keep things practical and straightforward: if something can be improved, we expect you to speak up and help fix it.Pay Rate for this role is $75,000-$80,000 (depending on experience)We offer a comprehensive benefits program designed to support your physical, financial, and family wellbeing.
