Performs routine cleaning duties within designated patient care area. and lounge areas to maintain a safe, healthy and aseptic environmental for personnel, patients and visitors.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintains all carpeted surfaces using assigned equipment.
Move furniture with proper equipment and help as assigned. Arrange furniture in assigned manner for special functions or routine cleaning.
Keeps patient restrooms stocked with paper supplies.
Cleans and disinfects according to specified cleaning procedures in patient and non-patient areas.
Arrange furniture to maintain an orderly and attractive environment.
attends training programs regarding new supplies and equipment.
Verifies that all electrical equipment in the patient care area is in working condition i.e., Initiates work order via Housekeeping Supervisor to correct all deficiencies.
Utilizes chemicals properly and safely in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and procedures. Operates equipment safely following manufacturer's and departmental operating procedures.

washes walls, shelves and windows; dusts furniture and window sills.
Provides spot cleaning of all spills and accidents. Maintains work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition; carries out all routine user upkeep of equipment and promptly reports mechanical failure to Facilities Management.
May provide housekeeping services at off site locations and/or hospital locations.
