Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12.0 hours per week.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. This role includes supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. The RN embodies the core values of the organization, focusing on patient and employee safety while promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities

Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses, collaborating with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct care utilizing the nursing process.
Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and commence patient teaching.
Communicate relevant information regarding patient status to ensure continuity of care.
Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff in alignment with hospital policies.
Contribute positively to team dynamics and participate in team-building activities.
Assume charge responsibilities as needed and identify opportunities for professional growth.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license required.
BLS certification required prior to first shift.
ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH).
Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
