Emergency Room/ICU Registered Nurse

General Summary:The Registered Nurse position performs a variety of nursing duties in caring for patients from minor treatment to acutely ill in a one-of-a-kind, free-standing outpatient facilities, providing easy access unscheduled care. This hyper-efficient delivery of Emergency Medicine Specialty Services combined with outpatient facility efficiently provides high quality care that can yield lower ER visits, lower hospital admissions and create savings.Description of Essential Duties:Completion of orders on a variety of patients from minor treatment to acutely illPerform accurate triages and discharges of patients of all ages and be proficient at identifying patient with critical needsPerform medication management in relation to administration, record maintenance, and storageMust be able to accurately input patient discharge instructions and prescriptions into computer softwarePerform quality splinting, dressing applications, and wound carePerformance of EKG’s/cardiac monitoring with recognition of arrhythmiasProcedure preparation per organizational protocols (i.e. I&D, suture, pelvic, Lumbar Puncture, Chest Tubes, etc.)Communicate positively with all team members and patientsProper delegation of duties to PCC’s, Lab Staff and Radiology StaffInitiation of Pre-MD evaluation orders when appropriate in order to expedite patient careUtilize organizational specific software to reference old patient records and organizational protocolsSupport the Facility Leader (FL) and Nurse Operations Manager (NOM) by being a positive team playerFollow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performanceJob Requirements:Education:AssociatesExperience Years:3 YearsExperience Type:Active Florida RN License or compact RN license with authorization to practice in Florida. Must convert to Florida license within 60 days of hire.3 years of nursing experience required. Less than 3 years may be considered with an internal recommendation.3 years’ experience in ER setting (hospital, freestanding) highly preferred.Minimum requirement of 2 years in ER setting with 1 year of ICU or Critical Care experienceACLSPALSMust be able to work independently in a fast-paced environmentAble to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)Able to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in the facilityAbility to travel between local facilities (50-mile radius) in order to cover shifts as requestedLegibly write English, clearly speak English, and proficiently read EnglishBilingual Preferred*** RN’s currently employed by or affiliated with medical marijuana clinics are ineligible for hire.Certifications/Licenses:Active State of Florida RN LicenseTravel: Up to 30% travel to support clinic operations across the market. Travel may include coverage at other clinic locations, trainings, meetings, and other operational needs as they arise.
