New Hampshire Job Corps is seeking a reliable and motivated Food Service Assistant to join our dining team in Manchester! In this rewarding role, you will help fuel our campus by assisting with food prep, maintaining a sparkling clean dining facility, and serving as a positive mentor to young adults building their careers. What You Will Do Support Kitchen Operations: Help prepare meals by washing, peeling, and coring fresh fruits and vegetables.

Manage Inventory & Setup: Transfer food, supplies, and equipment safely between storage and kitchen areas, and set up dining tables and chairs.

Maintain Top-Tier Sanitation: Clear, wash, and sanitize dishes, pots, kitchen equipment, floors, and food storage spaces to maintain perfect health standards.

Provide Excellent Service: Deliver friendly, superior customer service to our students and staff every single day.

Mentor Student Helpers: Supervise and mentor Job Corps Work-Based Learning students assigned to the kitchen, helping them develop professional habits.

Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience in food service operations, or a culinary certificate/degree, is highly preferred.

Ability to obtain a local Food Handling/Health Certification.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet meal deadlines.

Physical capability to stay active, stand, walk, and lift or move up to 40 pounds.
