Material Handler / Production Labor (Transportation)

Job Title: Material Handler

Responsible for production control activities in support of manufacturing operations. Main responsibilities include work order creation, component issues, and documentation support based on released production schedules. Miscellaneous support activities for Manufacturing and Materials are also part of responsibilities.

Ensure all QAD production and inventory related transactions are completed in a timely fashion.

Assist Materials team in providing Kanban component fulfilment.

Provide work order support to meet production schedules and assist in production prioritization.

Assist in analysis of inventory discrepancies in production control and finished goods areas.

Work with management to maintain production schedules and reports.

Be fully cross-trained in all production control activities.

Provide back-up for Materials Handling, Shipping, and Receiving functions.

Under direct supervision, perform production control activities and independently solve routine issues.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

Comply with written company policies and procedures.

Material handling

Medical device knowledge

Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 year of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with JDE, SAP, or SysPro preferred.

Knowledge of applicable Quality System Standards.

The company is on the verge of significant growth, expecting to double in size upon receiving FDA approval this year. The work environment is primarily within a manufacturing and warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
