About the Position

Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for Labor and Delivery as well as Mother and Baby patients
Care for women and neonates on a Level 1 unit, ensuring stabilization prior to continued care or transfer as appropriate
Support an environment averaging approximately 20 deliveries per month
Monitor and assess maternal and neonatal patients, intervening as clinically indicated
Collaborate with the care team to coordinate safe transitions of care when transfer is required
Required Qualifications
Active RN license valid in the state of Maryland (or compact equivalent)
A copy of a valid, unexpired driver's license must be submitted with all applications
Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Ability to work night shift
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a Level 1 obstetric unit
Familiarity with Mother and Baby / postpartum care
Experience with patient stabilization and coordination of transfer processes
