Job Full Description
Job Duties:
Physically packing inventory by hand into the appropriate sized shipping boxes or containers
Mark and label shipping boxes or containers and labels using marking tools
Examine count products, materials, and shipping boxes or containers to ensure that packing specifications are met
Count products
Examine and inspect shipping containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met
Record product, packing and order information on items
Remove defective product and materials and replace them
Pad cartons with appropriate tissue and fillers
Clean work order, replace supplies as needed
Requirements:
Previous packing in warehouse environment
Able to stand in one spot for long periods of time
Able to bend, squat, sit, climb, stand
Able to lift, push, pull, carry weights up to 50 pounds occasionally
Use basic hand tools and hand pallets for loads exceeding carrying weight
Able to work in heat during the summer - position is not climate controlled
Hours: 7:30am to 4pm Monday - Friday with Mandatory OT as needed including Saturdays.
