As a Quality Engineering Intern, your job is the most important in ensuring patient safety and quality of care. The Quality Engineer develops, establishes and maintains quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices which meet BSC, customer, and regulatory requirements. You will serve as a Quality representative for quality initiatives to support departmental, functional, site, divisional, and corporate quality goals and priorities. You will provide focused quality engineering support in a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environment and work cross functionally to improve the manufacturing process. You will build relationships with professionals in a diverse range of fields, inspiring people to embrace a culture of continuous improvement. Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) such as yield improvements, process improvements, and materials cost savings allow Boston Scientific to re-invest the savings into new products to fund company growth
Use design for manufacturing principles to develop tooling and equipment for manufacturing lines for new products
Create inspections or inspection systems to ensure products meet critical requirements
Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.
Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, develop, and sustain processes, procedures, tooling and equipment for first in class medical devices
Assist in the development and execution of streamlined business systems which effectively identify and resolve quality issues.
Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Industrial Engineering
Graduation date must be between December 2027 - May 2029
Must be able to start internship on May 17th or 24th, 2027 and work for 12 weeks
Experience in Medical Device industry
Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
