• Weekends: Weekend Rotation Required

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join its laboratory team on a travel assignment. This is a great opportunity for a dependable laboratory professional who is comfortable working across a busy hospital and outpatient setting and can quickly adapt to changing patient and department needs.
? What You'll Do

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections
Properly identify patients, specimens, and collection requirements
Collect throat and nasopharyngeal specimens
Provide patients with instructions for urine specimen collection
Perform urine drug-testing collections, including applicable DOT collections
Accession, process, and prepare specimens for testing
Prepare specimens and documentation for reference laboratory services
Monitor supplies and assist with maintaining laboratory workflow
Assist with laboratory phone calls, reports, and clerical responsibilities
Ensure specimens are accurately handled and routed in a timely manner
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Collaborate with laboratory staff, providers, and other clinical departments
•Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification and/or at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain/meet facility requirements
Strong venipuncture and specimen-handling skills
Excellent attention to detail and patient identification practices
Ability to work variable shifts and participate in weekend rotations
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Hospital, outpatient clinic, or laboratory experience is preferred.
