Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN with at least 2 years of experience and Trauma Level I experience for a 13-week assignment requiring an active MA RN license.
Details
Work in the Pediatric Operating Room of a high-acuity teaching hospital
Performs pediatric craniofacial, oral, and plastics procedures including cleft lip and cleft palate repair
Covers Pediatric General OR and Pediatric ENT cases including tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy procedures
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Short call required up to 3 times every six weeks from 5:15 PM to 7:15 PM
Up to 4 off shifts every six weeks
Up to 1 weekend shift and 1 weekend call required every six weeks
Holiday shift and call coverage required as needed by the unit
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric OR experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency working within the operating room required
- 2 verified professional references required from 2 of the last 3 places worked, from different facilities
Additional Information
Provide high-acuity pediatric perioperative nursing care as part of the Main OR team
Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible for a lower pay rate
Candidates with prior experience in a similarly sized or acuity OR may be considered even without formal travel experience
