Network Engineering Manage

The role blends project work and support tasks that center on the Thrive Cloud platform. You will report to the Director, Cloud Networking and help design and deploy network services within Thrive datacentres. The ideal candidate will hold a CCNP level certification, have at least 5 years of network engineering and administration experience, and possess a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.

Assist in designing, implementing and maintaining the regional Thrive Cloud network and internal networking infrastructure; take lead in the absence of the network manager.

Research and tailor new networking and security solutions for internal and customer business requirements.

Provide on‑call support for network escalations on a rota basis.

Help create technical documentation such as MS Visio network diagrams, high/low level designs, user guides and knowledge base articles.

Frequently visit datacentres throughout the USA as required for on‑site support and maintenance.

Cisco VRF‑Lite, Fortinet VDOMS, Cisco multi‑context firewalls.

In‑depth understanding of protocols, routing and networking services such as TCP/IPv4, UDP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, SPAN/RSPAN, SNMPv3.

Strong knowledge of routing protocols/applications: Site‑to‑Site VPNs: IPSec, GRE, DM VPN, Front Door VRF.

Knowledge of NextGen firewall deployment: URL/App filtering, Anti‑Virus, IPS, SSL decryption.

Networking hardware experience: Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, Cisco; Cisco ISR and ASR platforms; Familiarity with VMware hosts, SANs and Disaster Recovery tests.

Data‑centre environment experience: racking, stacking, cabling, SmartHands and cross‑connects.

Monitoring platform experience: This role requires frequent travel to datacentres located in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, and Florida.
