Independent Contractor - Advertising Sales Rep

Best Version Media is looking for a driven, community-minded sales professional to join us as an Advertising Sales Representative.
Founded in 2007, Best Version Media (BVM) has spent nearly two decades bringing North American communities together one person, one home, one business at a time. Today, BVM publishes over 1,300 local magazines and reaches billions of digital impressions across North America, helping thousands of local business owners grow.
This is a field-based, in-person sales role. You’ll build your own book of business in your local territory, on a schedule you control, selling advertising placements across BVM’s local print magazine and companion digital, social, and website products.

Build powerful, multi-channel branding programs using our media suite, print, digital, social, websites, and reputation management.
Scale: Leverage our proven training and time-tested sales system to grow your own book of business, building community engagement that pays you and your community for years to come.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role with no base salary or draw (full commission). Representatives earn a recurring commission on sales, with commission rates generally ranging from 70-80% based on monthly sales volume and performance relative to the baseline* cost structure. Bonuses are available during start-up and on an ongoing basis.
*Baseline is the back-end cost associated with the magazine & digital product’s cost to produce, distribute, bill clients, etc, and does not come out of the representative’s pocket.
Sales Acumen: A drive to help local businesses grow through the art of advertising sales, strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills. Experience with digital or print advertising is a plus, but the right attitude matters most; we provide the training.
