Hospital RN - Night Shift

Registered Nurse

Roles and responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.

Monitor and manage patients with cardiac conditions, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

Respond promptly to emergency situations using Rapid Response protocols.

Apply isolation precautions and follow infection control standards.

Manage peripheral IV lines and perform phlebotomy as needed.

Deliver oxygen therapy through nasal cannula, face masks, and non-invasive methods; manage tracheostomy care when required.

Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient status accurately in Cerner (EMR).

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Ensure compliance with facility procedures and standards in a Level 1 Trauma setting.

Participate in mandatory floating across units or facilities within a 50-mile range, when needed.

Maintain professionalism and adaptability while working three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Adhere strictly to time-off and attendance policies, especially around holidays.

Maintain up-to-date BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS preferred.

Deliver compassionate and evidence-based care in alignment with hospital protocols.
