Campus Security Officer

Location: Francis Howell High School

Salary: $17.04 to $20.87 per hour depending on experience

Reports To: Director of Safety and Security / Building Administration

extended school year with Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks off.

Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Some nights may be required for events/student activities.

The Francis Howell School District (FHSD) is a great place to live, work, and go to school. To help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors. The security guard supports the school community by monitoring campus activity, responding to and reporting incidents, and reinforcing district policies and safety protocols.

Campus Safety & Supervision

Assist with supervision during arrival, dismissal, passing periods, and lunch.

Communicate clearly with administration, staff, and local authorities as needed.

Maintain accurate records of incidents and security‑related activities.

Support & Partnership

Assist with safety drills and event security.

Promote positive relationships with students and serve as a role model.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a school environment preferred.
