The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring and closing of commercial loans, as well as maintaining and servicing a commercial loan portfolio. This position will represent the bank in its market area through active participation in community affairs.

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for developing new business, underwriting, structuring and closing of commercial loans, as well as maintaining and servicing a commercial loan portfolio. This position will represent the bank in its market area through active participation in community affairs.

Interview applicants to determine loan requirements and gather pertinent information for loan applications.

Conduct initial analysis of applicant's financial status, credit, and assets to determine feasibility of granting loan; work with the Credit Analyst Department to prepare financial analysis and credit display.

Listen and ask questions to understand the applicant's business and determine proper loan structure.

Structure loans within loan policy; approve loans within specified limits or champion opportunities to the credit department and/or Committee for approval.

Prepare financing proposals consistent with approval for presentation to the applicant.

Maintain positive working relationships with customers, bank staff, local professionals, centers of influence, and community organizations.

Actively participate in community and professional organizations and events.

Manage loan portfolio including renewals, modifications, updated credit analysis, collections, and portfolio monitoring.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Commercial Lending, with preference for experience within service area. Credit training/experience required.

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related area.

Ability to present, sell and service bank products and demonstrate professional knowledge of commercial lending.

Good judgment, problem-solving, accuracy, focus and timeliness with limited supervision.

proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, credit, financial, and legal documents.
