The Emergency Department Technician functions as a member of the emergency department patient care team, under supervision of the registered nurse. The emergency department technician I performs basic patient care procedures to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients, including, but not limited to, taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, performing ECG's, post-mold application, crutch-walk teaching, spinal immobilization, basic wound care, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Work, OR; 6 or more months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
