Job Description
BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician.

About the role
The Medical Support Specialist determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory test results, and notifies donors of unsuitable test results.

The specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager/Assistant Manager for operational guidance and under the Center Physician for medical issues. Familiarity with plasma collection regulations and EHS support is required.

How you will contribute

Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.

Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.

Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.

Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.

Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health/ER.

Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, including a recognized nursing program with state requirements.

Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.

Current CPR and AED certification.

Fulfill state IV therapy requirements.

Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits
USD hourly wage range: $24.32 - $33.44. Actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
