The Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is recruiting for a
Mental Health Clinician 1/2
Assist patients in setting appropriate goals related to discharge planning and discuss ongoing discharge plans with patients. Provide group therapy sessions and be able to effectively manage group processes to maximize therapeutic benefits to patients. Participates in unit treatment team meetings.
Completes psychosocial assessments for newly admitted patients and ensures the psychosocial data is comprehensive, completed within a specified timeline; Assist supervisor in the division of workload and related aspects of clinic or hospital management. Analysis and Assessment: Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information.
Psychology: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and theories of human behavior and performance in various contexts, mental processes, or the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.

Mental Health Clinician 1:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
Mental Health Clinician 2:
Master's degree from an accredited college in counseling, psychology, social work, child guidance, vocational rehabilitation, or a closely related field.
