Project Manager (Direct Hire)

Founded in the early 1940's, privately-held and with 43 locations around the world and multiple sites in South Carolina, they are indisputably the world leader in manufacturing their products. Their wood, aluminum, and various types of glazing material, among other products, are sourced with sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. Currently expanding to support two new projects and the company has a goal of tripling revenue between 2024 – 2030. 51% shareholder is a foundation that supports community advocacy programs, grants and funds.

Manages, plans, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.

Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.

Establishes work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each phase of projects, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

Focuses on developing business-critical projects aimed at improving company performance.

Championing 1-2 major manufacturing projects at a time, focusing on change management and ensuring cross-functional teams remain on task.

Coordinating meeting updates, tracking budgets, and managing drawing packages.

Overseeing the procurement of equipment and managing installations.

Facilitating general capital project work to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.

Turn strategic priorities into meaningful and actionable project launches.

Facilitation of large and business-critical projects together with stakeholders and project teams.

Confers with project personnel to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

May manage sub-contractors and their workforce.

Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budgets.

Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.

Prepares project reports for management and others.

Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Facilitates the use of standard processes, templates, and other project management tools.

Engages with global portfolio and project organizations to share best practices.

Bachelor's degree is required. Project Management Professional certification is preferred.

• 7+ years of project management experience is require - manufacturing experience is not required.
• Must be an inspiring project leader with a focus on critical and value-adding tasks.
• Must be highly motivated, proactive, structured, and outcome-focused.
• Must possess strong stakeholder management skills.
• Must possess strong change management skills.
• Must possess workshop facilitation skills and be comfortable engaging people.
• SAP is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project, is required.
• International travel is required, sometimes for extended periods (weeks).
• Staff meeting day is an in-office day
