Steiner Studios is an award-winning, state-of-the-art film and television production facility at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Steiner Studios is one of the largest studios east of Los Angeles and at full buildout will be over 1.6 million square feet on 60 acres.

Facilities Maintenance Technician handles maintenance and repairs on the Lot that require skills as an electrician, carpenter, plumber, mechanic, painter, and HVAC technician in order to help maintain a safe and serviceable facility. Must have experience in commercial buildings.

Perform basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanic, painting, and HVAC tasks

Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs on equipment

Perform facility upkeep duties such as touch up and finish painting, washing walls, ceilings, doors and sills, replacing light bulbs

Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
