This full-time employee is responsible for collection of specimens for lab testing on inpatients, outpatients, emergency room and clinic patients. The Phlebotomist is responsible for application of learned techniques necessary to obtain quality specimens to aid the techs in reliable results. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for developing computer skills for the Laboratory Information System and complying with all regulatory requirements, including Lab Compliance. This position requires adept social skills and compassion. As secretarial relief, this employee is responsible for distribution of lab reports, filing, ordering supplies, handling drug screen accounts and paperwork, and registering Home Health patients.
