Maintenance Electrician (Journeyman) | Full Time

Journeyman Electrician A-Var Electric is seeking a motivated and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. Since 1984, we’ve built our reputation on quality workmanship, safety, and exceptional customer service throughout Southern Colorado.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll work on a variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects. We are looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to delivering high-quality electrical installations and repairs.
Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
Perform service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Install electrical panels, lighting, wiring, outlets, and equipment.
Ensure all work meets NEC, state, and local electrical codes.
Diagnose electrical issues and recommend effective solutions.
Maintain a safe and organized job site.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
Experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience $34.00/hr to $38.00/hr based on experience
