Savannah Dental is a leading dental practice committed to delivering top-notch oral healthcare services to our community. With locations in Savannah and Richmond Hill, Georgia, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate and personalized dental care. We are currently seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team.
As a Dental Hygienist at Savannah Dental, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the oral health of our patients. Working collaboratively with our skilled dental team, you will perform a range of duties to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Dental Cleaning:
- Use dental instruments to clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth.
- Feel lymph nodes under the patient's chin to detect swelling or tenderness indicative of oral health concerns, including oral cancer.
Apply fluorides or other cavity-preventing agents to prevent dental decay.
Radiography:
- Expose and develop x-ray films to aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning process.
Record and review patient medical histories.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain dental equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Sharpen and sterilize dental instruments to adhere to strict infection control protocols.
Provide clinical services to improve and maintain the oral health of patients.
- Offer health education to patients or the general public to promote good oral hygiene practices.
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
Current and valid state dental hygiene license.
Experience working in a dental office setting.
Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration.
