Clinical and Production Pharmacist

Responsibilities:
Evaluate and verify medication orders, ensuring their appropriateness and completeness for the specific age group served.
Verify all prescriptions not directly received from the prescriber or physician's agent.
Oversee the safety, appropriateness, and effectiveness of pharmaceutical care related to specialty products dispensed.
Assess patients at the initiation of drug therapy, develop a patient care plan, and monitor patients according to the care plan throughout therapy.
Communicate with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status and therapy response.
Compound intravenous and specialty pharmaceuticals aseptically according to established guidelines and policies.
Handle sterile and hazardous medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
Provide indirect oversight of pharmacy technician and pharmacy support staff.
Sign off on prescriptions and respond to emails supporting board of pharmacy requirements.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Current Oregon Pharmacist License.
- 1+ years of experience as a licensed Pharmacist preferred, open to entry-level candidates.
- Solid knowledge of drug products and clinical pharmacy.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work flexible hours and rotate on-call duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with medication safety and data entry.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical care and prescription handling.
Work Environment:
Located in Bend, OR. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with on-call duties every other week. The team consists of three pharmacy technicians to provide support. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bend, OR.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $44.09 - $78.70/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
