Medical Lab Technician

Shift: Night hours per shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30), 10 hours (20:00 - 06:30)

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience, including travel experience

License: Active state or compact license required

Certifications: Must have a license

Must-Have: Blood bank experience, generalist skills

Description: Two medical lab technicians are required for a night schedule. The shift is 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM from Wednesday to Saturday, and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM from Sunday to Tuesday. The position is for a generalist role. Candidates must have experience in blood bank procedures. Local candidates will not be considered; travel experience is mandatory. Candidates should possess skills related to a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures. The responsibilities include handling various laboratory tests, including but not limited to: 24-hour urine, accessioning, blood specimen storage, CBC manual, immunoassay, quality assurance and controls, reporting test results. Candidates should also be familiar with hazardous materials and their disposal, as well as proper labeling practices. Additional responsibilities may include specimen preparation and therapeutic drug monitoring.
