Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Charlottesville, VA | PICU Float Pool

Located in the welcoming Charlottesville, VA 22908 area, this 13-week travel RN opportunity offers hands-on experience across pediatric critical care, NICU, Acute Pediatrics, and the Pediatric ED in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare setting.

Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool / Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Shift: Day shift, 12 hours

Shifts Per Week: 3 scheduled shifts per week; Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Every other weekend and every other holiday

Required across pediatric care areas based on patient need and staffing

Charting System: Epic experience required

2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required

• Must be comfortable floating to NICU, Acute Pediatrics, Pediatric ED, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby when needed
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
• Virginia RN license may be pending at time of submission, but must be active before the start date
• Travel nursing experience required
• Deliver high-quality pediatric nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with varying levels of acuity

Provide care in pediatric intensive care, neonatal care, acute pediatrics, and pediatric emergency settings as assigned

Support high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation when caring for NICU patients

Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive infusions, and advanced therapies

Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Follow float pool policies and contribute as a reliable team member across multiple pediatric units
