Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the ED, including initial assessment, triage, continuous monitoring, and timely interventions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and procedures per physician orders; prepare patients for tests and procedures; coordinate clear patient transports as needed.
Monitor patient status, interpret vitals, recognize deterioration, respond with appropriate emergency protocols, and elevate as required.
Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the medical record; communicate effectively with the ED team, physicians, and patients’ families.
Maintain patient safety and infection control standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment; collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient flow and care.
Requirements

• Current New York State RN license
• Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1+ year ER nursing experience
• Ability to work in a busy ED, with strong communication and multitasking skills
