Our laboratory testing plays a key role in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric, adult and prenatal conditions. Outpatient Lab at Anschutz Medical Campus

Monday - Friday

4, 10 hour shifts - 07:00 - 17:30

This role will require travel to support our System of Care locations.

Procure blood from patients by venipuncture, fingerstick or heel stick to obtain blood samples for analysis following age-specific guidelines.

Ensures patient is correctly identified through the hospital registration system, accounts numbers are current and correct tests are ordered; checks requisitions for data entry errors and resolves questionable orders in a timely manner.

Accurately prepares specimens for distribution and analysis according to laboratory procedures.

Creates hospital registration encounters.

Responds in a timely manner to patient/customer needs, including prompt attention to pneumatic tubes, customer deliveries, patient wait times and phone calls.

Performs laboratory functions according to guidelines established by regulatory agencies, including familiarization with regulations and quality indicators.

May perform waived testing according to guidelines and documents quality control appropriately.

EDUCATION - High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATION(S) - Phlebotomist certificate or Medical Assistant certificate or EMT certificate (CO EMT or NREMT) or 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist, MA or EMT.

Hourly Range: $18.27 to $27.40
