TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery
Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (06:45–19:15) | 36 Hours per Week | 13–26 Week Contracts Available
Provide intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care for obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater, as well as select high-risk patients under 16 weeks
Manage double labor assignments as a routine daily occurrence in a high-volume, fast-paced birthing unit averaging approximately 20 births and 30–40 admissions per 24-hour period
Perform sterile vaginal exams, circulate for scheduled and unscheduled Cesarean births, and deliver immediate newborn care
Support obstetrical triage functions including antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, medication administration, and rescue cervical cerclage procedures
Float to a high-risk Special Maternity Care OB unit as needed
Precept and orient new staff members to the unit as needed; work a minimum of every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; Proficiency in circulating to the OR, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
Current BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP certifications
Familiarity with PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR documentation systems
Prior experience circulating in an OR setting within a Labor and Delivery environment
Background in high-acuity or high-risk obstetrical care settings
Opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with contract flexibility ranging from 13 to 26 weeks
