Estimator - Construction, Painting

This new division, based in Birmingham, AL, combines all Plant and Industrial Products in a single customer-focused package. Our Mission is to be the Plant and Industrial supplier who is "easiest to do business with". We will make it easier to engineer, specify, and order components for plants. Most importantly, we will build strong relationships with design engineers, contractors, plant operations teams and project owners to assure we are their first-choice supplier for both new construction and future upgrades.
Estimator, McWane Plant & Industrial
The focus of this job is producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. In this position you will review incoming plans, drawings and specifications to identify opportunities/projects while producing precise, accurate quotations for MPI.
Measures, tracks quotations for general contract review.

Provide and communicate estimations and modifications across McWane divisions and facilities needed to meet customer and deadline demands.
Communicate with 3rd party vendors to get actuation costs for producing valve quotes where required
Communicating with painting vendors on special paints or with accessory vendors
Steady, even pace to promote accuracy and quality of work
Project management experience and project management software skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail
Experienced with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools
Detail oriented, adept at reading documents and engineering drawings and specifications
Proficiency in MS Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Mechanical aptitude or engineering background.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business or engineering or equivalent industry experience
Experienced with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software tools
Experience with legal contracts and interface with legal teams
Familiarity with CRM software tools to manage, track and measure quotation activities
