Direct Support Professional - NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Community Options, Inc. is a national non‑profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides in Howell and Neptune, New Jersey. This role offers professional growth while making a difference. No experience required—paid training is provided. Starting pay is $18.35 per hour.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene.

Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns promptly.

Support learning and development of independent and community‑based skills.

Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.

Drive individuals to medical appointments and community activities.

Ensure accurate and timely program documentation and billable records.

Build a support network by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with recipients of support.

Good judgment and composure in crisis situations.

Employment contingent upon successful completion of criminal background checks, central registry check, child abuse registry check, and drug testing.
