Immediate Need! Substation Project Engineer (3–5 yrs) Electrical Engineer | Power Delivery | Remote | 10% Travel
Remote (U.10% travel for site visits and project coordination
We are partnering with a highly respected power delivery consulting firm supporting utilities, renewable developers, and infrastructure clients across North America.
They are looking for an Electrical Engineer / Project Engineer with 3–5 years of substation experience who wants to deepen their technical expertise and grow toward a Lead Substation Engineer role.
You will work alongside experienced engineers designing and delivering high-voltage substation infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to consulting engineering, client coordination, and complex power system projects.
You will support engineering and design for high-voltage substations including:
- Substation yard layouts and equipment arrangement
- Conduit and cable routing
- Control building and auxiliary AC/DC systems
- Equipment specifications and bill of materials
You will also support Protection & Controls engineering , including:
- Engineering Responsibilities
- Support substation design and engineering deliverables
- Prepare engineering calculations and studies
Grounding analysis
Develop equipment specifications and material lists
- Support drawing review, vendor coordination, and engineering QA
- Participate in project meetings and client discussions
- Contribute to project scopes, schedules, and technical documentation
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in substation engineering or power delivery
- Conduit and cable plans
Material lists
- Ability to work in a consulting engineering environment
- AutoCAD
Familiarity with IEEE, NESC, or utility standards
