We’re looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join Aloha Veterinary Clinic, a locally owned small-animal practice in South Texas, just minutes from South Padre Island.

We’re not trying to build the biggest veterinary hospital.

We’re building a place where people enjoy practicing medicine, know the clients and pets they care for, have a team they can depend on, and still have time and energy for a life outside of work.

At Aloha, you’ll practice alongside our owner and veterinarian, Dr. Kayla Lee, and a close-knit team that believes good veterinary medicine starts with compassion, communication, transparency, and treating people well.

What working at Aloha looks like

A four-day workweek.

We’re open Monday through Thursday, giving our team three-day weekends to rest, travel, spend time with family, hit the beach, or simply have a life outside veterinary medicine.

Real mentorship.

Especially for a new graduate, we don’t believe mentorship should mean “call me if you need something.” You’ll have another veterinarian beside you to discuss cases, work through decisions, develop your skills, and gradually build confidence and independence.

Relationship-based medicine.

We want clients to understand what’s happening with their pets and why. Education and transparency are important parts of how we practice, and whenever possible, pets and their people stay together throughout their visit.

A team you actually know.

We’re an independent, locally owned practice. You won’t disappear into a huge organization. You’ll know the technicians and client service team working beside you, and they’ll know you.

Room to become the veterinarian you want to be.

We’re looking for someone who wants to continue learning and developing their interests. Whether you want to strengthen your surgery skills, become a better diagnostician, improve client communication, or discover an area of medicine you love, we want to help you grow.

We know Los Fresnos probably isn’t the first place most veterinary students circle on a map.

We think that’s worth changing.

Aloha is located in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, about 15 minutes from South Padre Island. Life here means beaches, warm winters, incredible food, local coffee shops, drinks by the water, outdoor adventures, a lower cost of living than many major Texas metros, and a pace of life that’s difficult to explain until you’ve experienced it.

And with a three-day weekend every week, you actually have time to enjoy it.
