Prep/Full or Part Time

Prep Cook
Georgetown Market has an immediate opening for a full- or part-time Prep Cook in the Eatery. This position must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Responsibilities:

Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and of a high quality.
Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.
Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods.
Present, garnish and arrange final dishes.
Occasionally serve food.
Function well in a fast-paced, busy environment as part of a team.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes.
Handle and store ingredients and food.
Must maintain all food safety and sanitation standards.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Familiarity of health and safety guidelines in a kitchen.
Up to 6 months related work experience.
Good communication skills.
