Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, this role provides professional nursing care to patients ranging from neonatal to adult age groups. The RN performs competencies in accordance with established standards and practices, supports the mission statement, policies and procedures of the Baptist Health System, and completes introductory competencies within the designated period. Additional duties as assigned are also expected.

Qualifications

Minimum experience: None

Preferred experience: Completion of peri‑anesthesia or critical care internship/training course

Required certifications/licensure: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or eligibility for state board certification

Preferred certifications/licensure: Surgery - CNOR board eligible/certified; Post Anesthesia - CPAN board eligible/certified; GI Lab - SGNA board eligible/certified

Required courses/completions: BLS - required for all areas (obtained through approved American Heart Association training or Military Training Network); ACLS - required for all areas in Surgery Services (to be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer); PALS - required for Post Anesthesia (to be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer)
