Production Machinist (Manufacturing)

The Grade 1 Machinist is an entry-level, non-exempt position that reports to the Machine Shop Manager. The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing parts that meet or exceed Charm Sciences standards. The standards include a high-level of precision on all parts manufactured within the machine shop. The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $31.00 per hour. Operate all manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision after training. Keep accurate records of work performance, processes and procedures, order of operations, tooling used for specific features, and setup methods. Use hand tools, as required after proper training, to meet part specifications. Required: HS Diploma, Technical Training Certificate, or equivalent.

Monday-Friday, with occasional availability on Saturdays.

Skilled with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

1 to 3 years machining experience or a combination of experience and technical school training.

Some exposure with tooling, fixtures, and machine setups to achieve quality precision-machined components.

Dexterity to manipulate parts being manufactured.

Ability to visually detect discrepancies and inspect machined parts.

Occasional need to move around the machine shop and access the main facility.

Must tolerate a generally noisy production environment.

Minimal supervision needed for running and checking production after training.
